The process

How it works

From first call to ongoing sessions — here's exactly what to expect every step of the way.

  1. Free 15-minute phone consultation

We talk through your concerns and whether services are a good fit. No paperwork, no commitment.

  2. Getting to know your child

A one-time, in-home evaluation, typically 60–90 minutes depending on your child's needs. It may include standardized testing, clinical observations, parent questionnaires, and a parent interview — all aimed at understanding your concerns, your priorities, and the whole child. You'll receive a detailed written report with individualized goals and a plan of care, plus a complimentary follow-up call to walk through the results together.

  3. A plan, together

We set meaningful, functional goals with you — not just for the therapy hour, but for your family's real life.

  4. Ongoing sessions

Extended 60–90 minute visits at home or in the community, with caregiver coaching built into every session.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you accept insurance?

Services are private-pay. Superbills are provided on request for families who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance plan, and HSA/FSA funds may be used. We're happy to walk you through how superbills work during your consultation.

What does it cost?

There's a one-time fee for the initial evaluation, followed by a per-session rate for ongoing visits, which run 60–90 minutes depending on your child's needs. We'll walk through exact rates clearly during your free consultation.

What areas do you serve?

We provide in-home and community-based services across Boston and the Greater Boston area, including Arlington, Belmont, Brookline, Lexington, Medford, Newton, Waltham, Wellesley, Winchester, and Woburn. If you're nearby but not listed, reach out — we may still be able to help.

How long are sessions, and how often?

Sessions run 60–90 minutes. Session frequency is tailored to your child — weekly is typical, and more frequent scheduling is available during key transitions or intensive periods.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. Direct therapy sessions can be offered via telehealth when clinically appropriate, and parent coaching sessions are available virtually for convenience.

My child has therapy at school. Can we still work together?

Yes. Private OT complements school-based services, which are limited to educationally necessary goals. We coordinate with your child's school team when helpful, with your permission.

How soon can we start?

We're currently accepting new clients. The free 15-minute consultation is the first step — you can book it directly online.
