One-on-one occupational therapy

Building the skills children need to participate in everyday activities and environments — through play, connection, and real-life practice.

Sessions take place where children actually spend their time — at home, in the community, or virtually — using a strengths-based approach that celebrates children's abilities while supporting their growth.

Areas of support

  • Self-care skills — dressing, bathing, grooming, hygiene
  • Fine and gross motor skills (hand control, coordination, and movement)
  • Sensory processing and regulation
  • Emotional regulation
  • Play and social participation
  • Focus, planning, organization, and school readiness
  • Skills for getting around and participating in daily community life

What a session looks like

Most visits begin with a warm-up your child chooses — a favorite game, movement play, a few minutes of connection. From there, Dr. Li weaves goal-directed activities into the play: practicing fasteners on a real coat, building hand strength, or rehearsing a tricky routine right where it happens. Every session wraps up with caregiver coaching — what we worked on, what progress looked like, and one or two simple things to try before the next visit.
